Carlos Lee ripped 3 homeruns and had 7 RBI at Great American Bpk as the
Houston Astros beat the Cincinnati Reds by the count of 16 to 10.

Lee enjoyed a great day at the plate. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in
the 1st inning, doubled plating two runs in the 4th inning, clubbed a
three-run home run in the 7th inning and delivered a solo blast (his 9th of
the season) in the 8th inning. Houston lit up the scoreboard in the 7th
inning when they had 4 runs on 4 hits and the 8th inning which saw them plate
4 runs on 5 hits. The Houston offense was great, scoring in 8 of the 9
innings.

Chris Sampson(2-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and allowing
1 run. Bill Bray(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief.

'It's almost like the ball was trying to hit my bat,' Lee said. 'Whenever I
would swing, the ball found the sweet spot.'
