Jay Bruce smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the
Washington Nationals 7 to 3 at Great American Bpk.

Bruce enjoyed a fine day at the plate. He blasted a two-run home run in the
3rd inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 7th of the season)
in the 5th inning. Cincinnati totaled 10 hits on the afternoon.

Bronson Arroyo(2-1) went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. John
Lannan(2-5) was the loser. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 5 and 2/3
innings of work.
