The St. Louis Cardinals toppled the Washington Nationals by a 8 to 4 score at
Nationals Park.

St. Louis scored the decisive runs in a big 8th inning with 2 runs utilizing 3
base hits. Mark Derosa kicked off the action when he laced a base-knock.
After an out was recorded, Rick Ankiel stepped in and he cleared the fences
for a two-run home run. Skip Schumaker then doubled. Overall St. Louis
out-hit Washington 14 to 5.

Trever Miller(3-1) allowed no runs in 2 innings, and picked up the victory.
Miller got relief help from Ryan Franklin who gained credit for his 15th
save. Jason Bergmann(2-3) was the losing pitcher in relief.
