38,022 fans were treated to a fine game at Target Field as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end.  The Minnesota Twins won by the
slimmest of margins, 6 to 5.
 
The score was tied at 5 after nine.  Minnesota won it in the 11th inning.
After an out was recorded, Darin Mastroianni drew a walk.  Mastroianni stole
second with some aggressive base running.  Minnesota continued their
aggressive style with another stolen base.  Denard Span followed next and he
hit a sacrifice fly making Minnesota victorious to the delight of the the
home town crowd.  Minnesota finished with 9 hits in the victory.  
 
The win was credited to Matt Capps(1-0) who went 2 innings allowing no runs.
Jesse Crain(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He surrendered no hits
and 1 walk in 2/3 of an inning.
