WEB GEMS- Top 9th: Yadier Molina blocked the plate, saving a run!

Roger Clemens racked up an impressive total of 10 strikeouts and Lance Berkman
ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Houston Astros outscored the St. Louis
Cardinals 6 to 0.

Berkman was a thorn in the side of the hometown fans as he enjoyed a fine day
at their team's expense. He smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 5th
inning, cracked a two-run shot (his 8th of the season) in the 7th inning and
stroked a one-base hit in the 9th inning. Houston rapped out 13 hits for the
afternoon.

It was the 2nd shutout of the year for Clemens(5-1). Chris Carpenter(2-4) was
the losing pitcher. 'He was really impressive today,' Carpenter said of his
counterpart. 'Our guys were just swinging at air.'
