Mike Cameron had 2 base hits as the New York (NL) Mets defeated the Washington
Nationals by a score of 3 to 2 at Shea Stadium.

Kris Benson(2-0) was very good in the win. He didn't allow much, just 2 hits
and 5 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings. Washington threatened in the 9th but New
York (NL) was able to put down the rally.

Benson was helped out by Braden Looper who recorded his 1st save. Ryan
Drese(2-4) absorbed the loss. He allowed 3 runs and 6 hits in 6 innings.
