Jesse Crain shut Detroit down and first baseman Justin Morneau had 4 hits and
3 RBI at Comerica Park as the Minnesota Twins beat the Detroit Tigers by the
count of 8 to 3.

Morneau was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He lofted a three-run 'big-fly' in the
1st inning, doubled in the 3rd inning, ripped a single in the 5th inning and
doubled in the 9th inning. Minnesota finished with 14 hits while Detroit
ended up with 6.

Brian Duensing(1-0) went 5 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Crain
earned the save, his 1st. The losing pitcher was Armando Galarraga(0-1). He
was touched for 8 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
