David Murphy connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI as the Texas Rangers
defeated the Toronto Bluejays 8 to 5 at Rangers Ballpark.

Toronto fell behind quickly as the Texas offense came through in the first
inning when they scored 6 runs on 5 hits. That was all the offense they were
to need. Both teams ended up with 11 hits on the afternoon.

The victory was credited to C.J. Wilson(1-0) who went 7 innings, allowing 2
runs. Marc Rzepczynski(0-1) was tagged with the loss. He was unable to
retire a batter allowing 3 hits and 2 walks.
