Mike Adams delivered 3 and one third solid innings as the Texas Rangers beat
the Seattle Mariners in 10 innings by a score of 5 to 4.
 
The game was deadlocked at 4 after nine full innings.  Texas won the game in
the 10th inning.  Josh Hamilton slapped a single.  Nelson Cruz stepped up
next and he banged out a single.  Alberto Gonzalez then laid down a sacrifice
bunt.  Craig Gentry followed and he was walked intentionally to load the
bases.  Mike Napoli stepped into the box and ripped a base-knock resulting in
an exciting win for Texas and a raucous post-game celebration by the home
town fans.  Texas finished with 15 hits while Seattle ended up with 10.
 
The winning pitcher was Adams(1-0) who allowed no runs in 3 and 1/3 innings.
Josh Kinney(2-1) took the loss in relief.  He allowed 3 hits and 1 walk in
1/3 of an inning.
