What a day for the Colorado Rockies! They shellacked the San Francisco Giants
pitching for 12 runs while Jhoulys Chacin(3-2), with relief help from Rex
Brothers, surrendered 2 runs to San Francisco.
 
Colorado claimed the early lead in the first inning with 2 runs using 3 hits.
Dexter Fowler kicked off the action when he ripped a single.  Ryan Vogelsong
then picked Fowler off first base.  D.J. Lemahieu then drew a walk.  Carlos
Gonzalez came up and he laced a single.  Gonzalez took off for second and
slid in with a stolen base.  Troy Tulowitzki contributed to the rally and hit
a sacrifice fly which brought home a run.  Michael Cuddyer followed next and
he banged out a single scoring the final run of the inning.  Colorado
finished with 17 hits while San Francisco ended up with 5.  
 
The losing pitcher was Vogelsong(0-2).  He was hit hard and gave up 11 hits
and 2 walks in 5 innings.
