17,291 fans were treated to a fine game at Citi Field as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end.  The Miami Marlins won by the
slimmest of margins, 3 to 2.
 
Jose Fernandez(4-0) had a solid outing for Miami.  He allowed 6 hits and 5
walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.  Fernandez chalked up 9 strikeouts.  Miami
totaled 7 hits on the afternoon.  
 
Steve Cishek gained credit for his 4th save.  Daisuke Matsuzaka(1-1) was the
loser.  He gave up 3 runs and 4 hits in 6 innings.  'He gutted it out' Andy
Virostek said of Fernandez.  'I was very impressed by his tenacity.'
