Chipper Jones rocketed 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Horacio Ramirez completed
the game without help from the bullpen as the Atlanta Braves outscored the
San Francisco Giants 8 to 3.

Jones was really in 'the zone'. He smashed a two-run homer in the 1st inning,
belted a three-run homer (his 4th of the season) in the 4th inning and hit a
single in the 9th inning. Atlanta managed 13 in their victory.

The victory was credited to Ramirez(1-1) who went the distance, allowing 3
runs. Brett Tomko(1-1) took the loss. He allowed 9 hits and 2 walks in 5
innings.

'It's just about getting in a good hitting position and just going out there
and being prepared,' Jones said. 'You try to hit in your own capacity and not
do too much. I just try to have a good approach, day after day, game by game,
and pitch by pitch.'
