In a close game it was the San Francisco Giants 4, the Philadelphia Phillies 2
at SBC Park.

San Francisco did all of it's offensive work in the 2nd inning when they
scored 4 runs on 6 hits. That early scoring was all that Noah Lowry(1-1)
needed. For the game San Francisco out-hit Philadelphia 12 to 8.

Lowry got help from Armando Benitez who earned his 3rd save. Jon Lieber(1-1)
was the loser. With this win, San Francisco has a 7-6 record. They have
been 7-3 lately. With the loss Philadelphia now has a record of 3-2.
