WEB GEMS- Bot 1st: Cliff Floyd robbed Jose Guillen of a Homerun!

Tom Glavine completed the game without help from the bullpen as the New York
(NL) Mets defeated the floundering Washington Nationals by the score of 7 to
3 at RFK STADIUM.

New York (NL) delivered all the runs required in the 2nd inning as they
creamed Washington blasting them with 7 runs on 7 hits. That early run
support was enough for Glavine(1-0) and New York (NL). The pitchers took
over after the 4th inning as neither team was able to score again.

The losing pitcher was Livan Hernandez(0-4). He was touched for 3 homeruns in
his 4 innings of work.
