Mark Redman delivered 5 solid innings and catcher Humberto Cota cracked a
homer at SBC Park where the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the San Francisco Giants
2 to 1.

Pittsburgh jumped on top of San Francisco in the top of the 5th inning scoring
a single run using 3 hits. Pittsburgh had 10 hits for the game and San
Francisco had 7.

Redman(1-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 innings and allowing no
runs. Mike Gonzalez gained credit for his 2nd save. The loss was charged to
Noah Lowry(1-2). He got hit pretty hard, allowing 8 hits and 3 walks in 5
and 1/3 innings.
