Third baseman Alex Gordon slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Kansas City
Royals defeated the Baltimore Orioles by the score of 6 to 2 at Kauffman
Stadium.

Kansas City jumped on top to stay in the bottom of the 6th inning as they
scored 2 runs on 3 base hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Gordon who
brought the crowd to their feet when he bombed a two-run dinger (his 7th of
the season). Kansas City had 12 hits for the game and Baltimore had 7.

The winning pitcher was Ramon Ramirez(3-2) who allowed no runs in 1 inning.
Joakim Soria gained credit for his 11th save. Brian Bass(0-4) absorbed the
loss in relief.
