One run was the difference at Kauffman Stadium as the Kansas City Royals
defeated the Detroit Tigers 4 to 3.

Gil Meche(4-3) pitched a solid game. He was reached for 4 hits and 5 walks in
7 innings. Detroit had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.

Joakim Soria earned his 10th save. The loss was charged to Armando
Galarraga(0-3). He pitched 5 and 2/3 innings giving up 7 hits and 3 walks.
