Seattle tallied 5 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning when they had 6 base
hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Adrian Beltre who made the
home-town crowd a happy bunch when he doubled which was good for two runs.
Seattle out-hit Detroit for the game, 12 hits to 4.

Roy Corcoran(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 and 1/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Sean Green gained credit for his 1st save. Aquilino
Lopez(0-1) was charged with the loss in relief.
