The Chicago (AL) Whitesox edged the ice-cold Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park
by the score of 5 to 4.

The deciding run was scored by Chicago (AL) in the top of the 9th. Orlando
Cabrera slapped a base-hit. Alexei Ramirez next to the plate and he grounded
into a double play. Carlos Quentin then drew a walk. Jermaine Dye came up
and he doubled. Chicago (AL) totaled 8 hits on the night.

Scott Linebrink(3-1) got the win allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning. Bobby
Jenks earned his 5th save. Freddy Dolsi(0-1) was tagged with the loss in
relief.
