Austin Kearns blasted a homerun and had 2 RBI and Brandon Claussen went the
distance as the Cincinnati Reds defeated the Chicago (NL) Cubs 6 to 2 at
Great American Bpk.

Cincinnati promptly took the lead in their half of the first scoring 3 runners
on 3 hits. That early run support was enough for Claussen(4-1) and
Cincinnati. Cincinnati banged out 11 on the afternoon.

Jerome Williams(0-3) was tagged with the loss. He allowed a few too many
baserunners giving up 10 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.
