At Citizen's Bank Park, the Philadelphia fans witnessed a great pitcher's
duel. Vicente Padilla(2-3) finally bested his Florida opposite, Jason
Vargas(1-4), by the score of 3 to 1.

Philadelphia took the lead off Vargas in the first inning plating an isolated
run utilizing 2 base hits. Florida threatened in the 9th but their rally
came up short.

Padilla got help from Billy Wagner who was credited with his 6th save. Vargas
was tagged with the loss. He allowed 8 hits and 1 walk in 6 and 2/3 innings.
