Center fielder Ken Griffey Jr hit a homerun and had 4 RBI at Wrigley Field
where the Cincinnati Reds beat the Chicago (NL) Cubs 10 to 3.

Griffey Jr had a big day with his bat. He cleared the fences for a two-run
home run (his 8th of the season) in the 4th inning and lined a single
bringing in two baserunners in the 8th inning. Cincinnati totaled 9 on the
afternoon.

The victory was credited to Matt Belisle(2-0) who went 7 innings, allowing 3
runs. Greg Maddux(2-4) absorbed the loss. He gave up 4 runs and 5 hits in 7
innings.
