Jamey Carroll had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Cleveland Indians defeated the
New York (AL) Yankees by a score of 4 to 1 at Yankee Stadium.

Cleveland had the game winning rally in the top of the 9th inning scoring 3
runs on 4 hits. After an out was recorded, Jhonny Peralta got things going
when he delivered a one-base hit. Ben Francisco stepped into the batter's
box and he popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 2nd of the season).
Franklin Gutierrez then delivered a single. Asdrubal Cabrera was the next
batter, but he struck out. Carroll came to the plate and tripled. Shin-Soo
Choo got his turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. The teams had been
locked in a scoreless duel until the 7th inning.

Rafael Perez(3-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 innings and allowing
no runs. Dan Giese(3-1) suffered the loss in relief.
