In a dramatic ending at Metrodome the Minnesota Twins won in their last at-bat
beating the Detroit Tigers by the count of 3 to 2.

The deciding run was scored by Minnesota in the bottom of the 9th. Brian
Buscher drew a walk. Nick Punto next to the plate and he slapped a single.
Carlos Gomez then reached on an error giving Minnesota the victory and
sending the 24,487 home-town fans home happy. Minnesota had 9 hits overall,
while Detroit had 6.

Jesse Crain(3-1) allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Freddy Dolsi(1-3) was the losing pitcher in relief. He was a
hard-luck loser as he did not allow an earned run in his 1 inning of work.
