Ichiro Suzuki blasted 2 homeruns as the Seattle Mariners topped the Kansas
City Royals by a score of 2 to 0 at SAFECO Field.

Doug Fister(2-4) was very good in the win. He didn't give up much, just 4
hits and 2 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings. Neither team managed to score after
the 3rd inning.

Luke French got the save, his 2nd. The losing pitcher was Luke Hochevar(0-3).
The Seattle ballclub's record now stands at 12-14. Kansas City can't seem
to snap out of their recent 'funk'. Now they have a miserable 2-8 record
over the last couple weeks.
