First baseman Michael Cuddyer hit 2 doubles and had 3 RBI as the Minnesota
Twins defeated the Seattle Mariners 5 to 2 at SAFECO Field.

Minnesota drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning
scoring 3 runners on 2 hits. The early run support proved sufficient for
Francisco Liriano(5-2) and Minnesota. That was all the run support Liriano
required. Minnesota had 10 hits for the night while Seattle had 5.

Jon Rauch got the save, his 1st. Doug Fister(2-5) was the losing pitcher. He
was knocked around by Minnesota, allowing 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.
