Felix Hernandez whiffed 11 batters at Rangers Ballpark where the Seattle
Mariners beat the Texas Rangers 8 to 2.
 
Hernandez(2-0) earned his pay with a solid performance for Seattle.  He
surrendered 10 hits and no walks in 9 innings.  Seattle totaled 13 hits on
the afternoon.  
 
Matt Harrison(0-1) was the loser.  He was unable to control the Seattle
offense and allowed 11 hits and 2 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.  
 
'Everything felt great' Hernandez said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could
throw it by everybody today.'
