First baseman Mike Napoli smacked 2 homeruns as the Texas Rangers beat the
Seattle Mariners by a score of 9 to 4.
 
Napoli had a big day at the plate. He clubbed a two-run home run in the 3rd
inning, emptied the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the 4th inning and
delivered a one-base hit in the 7th inning.  Texas had 11 hits for the
afternoon.  
 
Alexi Ogando(1-0) went 6 innings allowing 4 runs for the win. Charlie
Furbush(0-1) absorbed the loss.  He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 4
innings of work.  
 
'The ball was jumping off my bat' Napoli said.  'I didn't do anything
differently, it's the same way I always approach the game.'
