Second baseman Derek Dietrich rocketed 3 homeruns and had 5 RBI at Citizens
Bank Park as the Miami Marlins beat the Philadelphia Phillies 6 to
4.

Dietrich was a source of great heartache for the Philadelphia faithful all
day. He just kept pounding out hits! He cracked a two-run shot in the 2nd
inning, popped a two-run clout over the fence in the 4th inning and lofted a
solo-blast 'downtown' in the 6th inning. Philadelphia tried unsuccessfully
to come back in the 9th.

The winning pitcher was Chad Qualls(2-1) who allowed no runs in 3 innings.
Steve Cishek gained credit for his 5th save. Cliff Lee(3-2) was tagged with
the loss. He served up 4 gopher balls in 7 innings.

'I had a big day, but there's a lot of credit to go around' Dietrich said.
'We played well together as a team.'
