Paul Konerko had 2 base hits as the Chicago (AL) Whitesox beat the Toronto

Chicago (AL) scored the deciding run in the top of the 9th inning. Alexei
Ramirez slapped a base-hit. Ramirez was safe at second on a stolen base.
Jermaine Dye then laid down a sacrifice bunt. Carlos Quentin followed and he
was walked intentionally. Jim Thome came to the plate and was walked
intentionally to load the bases. Konerko contributed to the rally and
stroked a single. Konerko took second on the throw. Chicago (AL) had a
total of 7 hits for the game.

John Danks(3-2) was the winner allowing no runs in 8 innings. Danks got relief
help from Matt Thornton who gained credit for his 4th save. Roy
Halladay(3-3) was given the loss. He struck out 14 batters in 9 innings
despite losing the game.
