Drew Stubbs lofted one into the 'cheap seats' and scored 3 times and Mike
Leake allowed only 3 hits resulting in a big goose egg on the scoreboard for
Washington at Nationals Park where the Cincinnati Reds beat the Washington
Nationals 8 to 0.

Leake(1-0) was simply too much for the Washington batters. He gave up just 3
hits and no walks in 9 innings. Cincinnati rapped out 12 hits for the
afternoon.

Ross Detwiler(0-1) was the losing pitcher. He allowed Cincinnati 7 runs in 6
and 2/3 innings of work. 'Our guys just weren't seeing the ball today.' Lee
Michaels said. 'Leake simply dominated us.'
