First baseman Michael Morse cracked a homer and had 3 RBI as the Washington
Nationals bested the Pittsburgh Pirates in 10 innings 4 to 3 at PNC
Park.

The score was knotted at 3 after nine innings. Washington ended up winning it
in the 10th inning. Ryan Zimmerman lined a single. Morse stepped up next
and he stroked a single. Jayson Werth then grounded into a double play.
Danny Espinosa followed and he ripped a one-base hit. Rick Ankiel was next
to the plate, but was promptly struck out. Both teams totaled 9 hits on the
afternoon.

The win was credited to Drew Storen(1-0) who went 2 innings allowing 1 run.
Brad Lincoln(0-1) was given the loss in relief. He pitched 2/3 of an inning
allowing 2 hits and no walks.
