Cody Ross had 2 base hits as the San Francisco Giants rallied impressively to
win in dramatic style over Philadelphia Phillies, 3 to 2.

San Francisco had the game winning rally in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 3
hits. After two were out Carlos Beltran jump-started the rally as he drew a
walk. Pablo Sandoval was next and he doubled. Aubrey Huff then stroked a
base-hit. Ross was up next and he stroked a single. San Francisco had 10
hits for the afternoon while Philadelphia had 6.

The victory went to Ramon Ramirez(1-0) who went 1 and 2/3 innings, allowing 1
run. Ryan Madson(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief. He gave up 2 runs and 3
hits in 1 inning.

Lee Michaels was ebullient after the game, 'It's great to win a hard fought
game like that. Our guys just weren't going to be denied. And did you see
the fans - they were going wild! Yes sir, a very enjoyable win this
afternoon!'
