In an entertaining game at Turner Field the final score was the Florida
Marlins 6, the Atlanta Braves 3.

Florida won the game with a rally in the top of the 9th inning plating 3 runs
utilizing 2 base hits. Emilio Bonifacio got things going when he drew a
walk. Bonifacio then stole second base. Mike Stanton got his turn next, but
he was a strikeout victim. After another out, Jonny Venters came to bat and
let one slip out of his hand for a wild pitch. Gaby Sanchez came up to bat
and drew a walk. Matt Dominguez added to the uprising and doubled. Omar
Infante came next and he laced a base-knock. John Buck was next to the
plate, but was promptly struck out. Florida ended up with 15 hits for the
game while Atlanta had 6.

Randy Choate(1-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 and 1/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Venters(0-1) was the loser in relief. He gave up 2 hits
and 2 walks in 1 and 2/3 innings.
