In a tight game it was the San Francisco Giants 7, the St. Louis Cardinals 5
at AT&T Park.

San Francisco promptly took the lead in their half of the first scoring 4
runners on 3 hits. The key at-bat was by Aubrey Huff who brought a roar from
the partisan AT&T Park fans when he hit a 'grand salami' to the delight of
his teammates. St. Louis had a chance in the 9th but they came up short.

The victory went to Ryan Vogelsong(2-0) who went 5 and 1/3 innings, allowing 5
runs. Vogelsong got relief help from Brian Wilson who gained credit for his
3rd save. Jaime Garcia(0-3) was tagged with the loss. He was knocked around
pretty good, giving up 6 runs in 3 innings.

'Anytime you lose it hurts,' said Chris Centorcelli 'but it's losing the close
ones that really hurt.'
