Matt Cain didn't allow a hit until the 7th inning and Miguel Tejada had 2 base
hits at Citizens Bank Park as the San Francisco Giants beat the Philadelphia
Phillies by the count of 2 to 0.

Cain(2-1) came through with a virtuoso performance against the Philadelphia
hitters. He allowed just 2 hits and 2 walks in 8 and 1/3 innings seeing his
ERA drop from 1.80 to 1.16. The right-handed Cain lost a no-hitter when
Hunter Pence singled with one out in the 7th inning. San Francisco had 7
hits for the game and Philadelphia had 2.

Cain got help from Sergio Romo who was credited with his 1st save. Roy
Oswalt(0-1) was hit with the loss. He pitched 6 innings and surrendered 5
hits and 3 walks.
