In a good matchup it was the Washington Nationals 6, the New York (NL) Mets 3
at Nationals Park.

Washington came through with the game-winning runs in the bottom of the 8th
inning plating 3 runs using 3 hits. Michael Morse led off and started the
attack as he banged out a single. Jayson Werth came next and he reached on
an error. After an out was recorded, Rick Ankiel stepped in and he doubled.
Wilson Ramos was up next and he delivered a single. Chris Marrero stepped
into the box and grounded into a double play. Washington banged out 11 hits
on the afternoon.

The victory was credited to Todd Coffey(2-1) who went 2 innings, allowing no
runs. Drew Storen recorded his 9th save. Taylor Buchholz(0-2) was tagged
with the loss in relief.
