TEAM RISP- Whitesox: 3 for 6 Astros: 1 for 5

Jordan Lyles delivered 8 solid innings and Jose Altuve had 2 base hits and 2
RBI as the Houston Astros bested the Chicago (AL) Whitesox 6 to 5 at Minute
Maid Park.

Houston scored 3 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning when they had 3 base
hits. The critical plate appearance was by Chris Snyder who brought a roar
from the partisan Minute Maid Park fans when he smashed a two-run homer.
Chicago (AL) had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short.

The win went to Lyles(1-2) who allowed 2 runs in 8 innings. Lyles got help
from Wilton Lopez who was credited with his 9th save. John Danks(0-1) ended
up with the loss.

Tony DeFrancesco was beaming after the game, 'Not only were we making good
contact, but a lot of balls we hit seemed to have 'eyes'! I just love winning
these tight ones! It was just our day - no doubt about it!'
