Justin Verlander tossed a complete game shutout as the Detroit Tigers defeated
the Minnesota Twins by a score of 3 to 0 at Comerica Park.
 
Verlander(4-1) was solid in the win.  He didn't allow much, just 5 hits and 4
walks in 9 innings lowering his ERA from 2.65 to 2.09.  Detroit rapped out 8
hits for the afternoon.  
 
Samuel Deduno(0-3) ended up with the loss.  This win by Detroit continues
their recent hot streak.  In their last ten games, they have a record of 8-2.
For the season, they are a division leading 13-4.  With the loss, the
Minnesota ballclub's record is 7-17, worst in the division.
