Third baseman Trevor Plouffe homered and had 4 RBI as the Minnesota Twins
outscored the Boston Redsox 13 to 4.
 
Plouffe had a big day against Boston. He doubled which plated a run in the 3rd
inning, clubbed a three-run home run in the 6th inning and slapped a base-hit
in the 9th inning.  Minnesota provided plenty of action in the 3rd inning
which saw them score 3 runs on 4 hits, the 6th inning which saw them plate 3
runs on 3 hits and the 8th inning scoring 3 runs.  Minnesota had 20 hits for
the afternoon while Boston had 13.  
 
The victory went to Liam Hendriks(3-1) who went 6 and 2/3 innings, allowing 4
runs. Felix Doubront(1-1) was charged with the loss.  His ERA increased from
2.92 to 6.32 as he allowed 7 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings.
