Arizona team broke the deadlock in their last at bats, pulling out a 4 to 3
win over the ice-cold San Francisco Giants and sending their hometown fans
home smiling.

Arizona scored the deciding run in the bottom of the 9th inning. After an out
was recorded, Tony Clark ripping a solo home run (his 8th of the season)
giving Arizona the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. San
Francisco had 10 hits in the game while Arizona had 6, but Arizona had the
more timely hits.

Jose Valverde(1-0) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. Tyler
Walker(0-2) was the loser in relief. He gave up 1 hit and no walks in 1/3 of
an inning.
