Mark Mulder was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and shortstop David Eckstein connected with a 'big fly' at
Minute Maid Field as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Houston Astros by the
count of 8 to 3.

Mulder(2-1) pitched well for St. Louis in their victory. He went 9 innings
allowing 8 hits and 2 walks. St. Louis banged out 12 on the afternoon.

Wandy Rodriguez(1-1) was hit with the loss. He allowed 8 hits and 6 walks in
