Mark Mulder was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game at PNC Park where the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Pittsburgh
Pirates by the score of 11 to 3.

Jim Edmonds enjoyed a big day at the plate. He caught a hold of a bad pitch
for a Grand Slam homerun (his 1st of the season) in the 1st inning, doubled
in the 2nd inning and singled in the 4th inning. St. Louis had a total of 16
hits for the game.

Mulder(1-0) lasted until the end allowing 3 runs for the win. Kip Wells(0-2)
was the loser. He surrendered 7 runs and 7 hits in 1 inning.
