David Murphy collected 2 extra-base hits and had 2 RBI as the Texas Rangers
beat the Minnesota Twins by a score of 5 to 3.

Texas had the game winning rally in the top of the 9th inning with 2 runs
using 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Milton Bradley kicked off the
action when he slapped a base-hit. Craig Breslow then uncorked a wild pitch.
Murphy then tripled. One out later, Hank Blalock came up and he slapped a
one-base hit. Minnesota was out-hit by Texas, 16 hits to 6.

The win was credited to Eddie Guardado(1-0) who went 2 and 1/3 innings
allowing no runs. Frank Francisco recorded the save, his 2nd. Breslow(2-1)
suffered the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 runs and 3 hits in 1 and 1/3
innings.
