Left fielder Jack Cust hit one over the fence and had 2 RBI and Justin
Duchscherer came through with a solid 9 innings as the Oakland A's topped the
Detroit Tigers by a score of 3 to 0 at McAfee Coliseum.

Duchscherer(4-2) pitched one of his finer games as he simply was too much for
the Detroit batters. He allowed just 4 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings seeing
his ERA drop from 1.74 to 1.48. Oakland had a total of 7 hits for the game.

Kenny Rogers(0-4) was tagged with the loss. 'I've been working on a few
things in my delivery, and I think I'm hitting a good groove.' Duchscherer
said after the game. 'I'm ready to start another game tomorrow!'
