Designated hitter Hideki Matsui slammed 2 homeruns as the New York (AL)
Yankees pulled out a win over the Toronto Bluejays by a score of 4 to 3 at
Yankee Stadium.

New York (AL) won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Matsui
smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' (his 5th of the season) making New York (AL)
the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration. Although they lost,
Toronto did out-hit New York (AL) 11 to 5.

Dan Giese(2-0) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Brandon
League(1-2) took the loss in relief. He pitched 1 inning allowing 1 hit and
1 walk.

The New York (AL) ballclub's record now stands at 12-7. Toronto has a record
of 13-17 after the loss.
