Andres Torres had 2 base hits and Jonathan Sanchez allowed only 2 hits
resulting in a big goose egg on the scoreboard for Colorado as the San
Francisco Giants topped the Colorado Rockies by a score of 2 to 0 at AT&T
Park.

Sanchez(1-1) came through with a virtuoso performance against the Colorado
hitters. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 2 hits and 1 walk in 9
innings dropping his ERA from 9.00 to 3.60. The pitchers took over after the
3rd inning as neither team was able to score again.

Jhoulys Chacin(0-1) ended up with the loss. Although losing the contest, he
whiffed 11 batters in 8 innings.
