Pedro Alvarez cracked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at PNC Park where the
Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Milwaukee Brewers by the score of 6 to
3.

Alvarez made sure the Pittsburgh fans enjoyed themselves. He hit a
bases-empty home run in the 4th inning and smashed a two-run homer in the 8th
inning. Both teams finished the game with 6 hits.

James McDonald(1-0) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 8 innings. McDonald got
help from Evan Meek who was credited with his 1st save. John Axford(0-1)
suffered the loss in relief.
