In an entertaining game at Nationals Park the final score was the Washington
Nationals 5, the Atlanta Braves 2.

Washington came up with 3 runs in the 3rd inning. Ross Detwiler led off and
he drew a walk. Jayson Werth came to the plate and slapped a one-base hit.
Bryce Harper then drew a walk to load the bases. Ryan Zimmerman followed and
he would ground out. After an out was recorded, Adam Laroche stepped up to
the plate and he drew a walk to load the bases. Ian Desmond kept the rally
going and slapped a base-hit. Danny Espinosa followed, but he was set down
on strikes. That early run support was enough for Detwiler(1-1) and
Washington. Washington managed 9 hits in their victory.

Tyler Clippard earned the save, his 2nd. Mike Minor(0-1) was tagged with the
loss. 'Wow. That's about all I can think to say.' said Lee Michaels
following the victory. 'If ever a team needed a win, it was us.'
