WEB GEMS- Top 9th: Welington Castillo blocked the plate, saving a run!

Right fielder Jason Heyward hit one over the fence and had 2 RBI at Wrigley
Field where the Atlanta Braves beat the Chicago (NL) Cubs 3 to 1.

Atlanta scored 2 runs in the decisive top of the 3rd inning. After two were
out Martin Prado started the rally when he was hit by a pitch. Chris Volstad
then let one slip out of his hand for a wild pitch. Heyward then lifted one
out of the park for a two run home run. That early scoring was all that Paul
Maholm(2-0) needed. The Chicago (NL) batters went down meekly in the bottom
of the 9th.

Maholm got help from Craig Kimbrel who was credited with his 2nd save.
Volstad(0-5) absorbed the loss. He surrendered 6 hits and 3 walks in 6 and
1/3 innings.
